I’ve
owned so many orchids that It’s impossible to remember how many I’ve owned;
however I always kill them. Still though on any special or random occasion my
boyfriend contributes another orchid so I have another chance at keeping one
alive, as always though it never fails to die. I’ve had asthma my entire life,
and I believe if plants can prove what I’m researching it could improve the
daily asthma hurdles I’ve learned to maneuver around. Through my thirty days of
immersive research I plan on learning not only the answer to my research
questions but also how to keep plants alive. My grandmother who passed away in
2011 always put an emphasis on how significant plants are to the planet and for
an individuals well being. I believe the growing and tending to plants that my
grandmother took part in enhanced her life and personality, and I’d love to
improve those things for myself. I trust that growing plants and tending to
plants for this project would not only bring back beautiful memories of a
dearly missed woman, while also improving my wellbeing. I’ve always been
interested in the Japanese bonsai trees so this is a great excuse to buy one. I
feel that this research project could bring me closer to my dear memories of my
grandmother while also help me learn a very important skill.
