During
my thirty days of immersive research collected data, research, and measured my
results with many methods so that my results can be shown through the board.
The first way I planed on researching my topic was through myself. I filled out
charts daily! I graphed my survey results in many different formats so they can
be shown visually. Beginning my thirty days and at the end of my thirty days I used
a carbon dioxide home test kit in my bedroom (where my plants were kept), the
specific dates of the test were (February 1st and March 5th),
the kit can be found at this website (http://www.discount-hydro.com/products/CO2-Test-Kit.html).
I attempted an interview with my grandmother but she was sick. I also am
working on my interview with a green house worker, John Taylor, at Ball State
University. He works at Christy Woods. During my thirty days I grew/tended to the
following plants: Fern (Japanese Bird’s
Nest), Ivy (Royal Hustler), Tropical Foliage, an Orchid (Phalaenopsis), and
multiple blooming flowers (Chrysanthemum, Bachelor’s Buttons, and the Chinese Forget-Me-Not) which were
recommended by this website (http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn19.php)
for the improvement of air quality.
During my thirty days I attempted to start raising a bonsai tree, which
I have dreamed of doing for a while. A bonsai tree is a miniature tree that is
very popular in the Japanese culture. I gave a survey to my classmates with the
following questions:
