Conclusion

My surveys and personal experiences lead me to believe plants can improve health and mood. I felt a lot better emotionally and health wise at the end of this project. More individuals need to take care of houseplants. It showed that most have never taken care of a plant or that they even have them in their homes. Houseplants are important for the improvement of an individual’s life. I do believe that houseplants improved my health. My breathing and asthma feels much better after the end of my research. I also feel that tending and growing plants affected my mood. I feel a lot happier, so do the seven out of twelve individuals who took the survey.

Researchers could build off of my research in many ways. One way would be publishing more articles about plants and how they affect things. It’s hard to find information about this topic; which means backing up research can become a challenge. Researchers could do case studies and experiments with the topic, which could include advanced medical tests that showed medical results. I’m not a medical expert so it’s hard for me to provide substantial medial backup to my research. Individuals can trust information that they know is true. Researchers could take my information to the next level and deliver this information to hospitals, nursing homes and schools. If plants were kept in these places among others there could be a general increase in mood and health around the world.
