Week 1:
This week was difficult to get in the swing of things. I really stink at taking care of plants and I found myself forgetting to water my plants when I planned to. This week was the start of my research so it's hard to say what my research is stating. I'm really excited to see my results! I didn't realize how expensive plants were. I will be broke for the next few weeks! I had a cold this week, I just want it to go away.
Week 2:
I'm starting to get in the hang of taking care of my plants. It's hard to stay focused in school when spring break is so close. I'm excited to be in warm Arizona weather. My favorite plant the cactus is all over there. I also love seeing palm trees every where I go. I feel like generally I'm in a better mood this week. I got over my cold from last week as well so I feel a lot better. I like the fresh smell the plants are putting off in my bedroom. I can tell my sisters room from my room tremendously. I think the plants are improving many aspects of my life, it's hard to pinpoint how they're affecting my health though!
Week 3:
I think the plants have been improving my life tremendously at this point. I'm frustrated that it's so hard to show medical progress because there's not a test to show my research that's safe. I also realized this week that a bar graph won't be useful to show my research so I'm going to stick with my daily graph log. Research is very stressful and I'm really feeling the stress at this point. I get stressed out super easily so this isn't helping much. Midterms are coming up as well. Being is college is really stressful, however I still love coming home and look at/ watering my plants. It's so relaxing after a long day. Spring break is so close. I know I can do it! I'm really starting to love my Bonsai tree at this point. It's so perfect!
Week 4:
I'm happy and glad my research has came to an end. SPRING BREAK IS FINALLY HERE. I'm so excited for warm weather. However, I'm going to miss being at home. My research seemed to go in my predicted direction. I feel that my graphs and interviews show that plants do improve health and mood. The Co2 test I did seemed to be about equal. The problem my doctor told me at the beginning of my research was about air. Air is always traveling so when an individual is measuring air quality/content it can be hard to do so. Honestly I loved doing this project even if it was stressful. My grandmother was very sick this week and couldn't complete the interview which added stress to my project. I'm glad I finally know how to do research though! It's a hard thing to learn.
