I
found it interesting that five out of the twenty-one responses noted that
plants are pretty. It was a very popular description throughout the surveys! My
favorite survey response was “I think plants are annoying. Like a pet, but not
as fun as a puppy”, it was a very different response. “Fourteen out of twenty- one individuals said
they didn’t keep plants in their bedroom. The remaining seven said they had
kept plants in their bedroom. Out of the seven six saw improvements. One
individual saw an improvement with air and five saw an improvement in their
mood. The graph for this result would look like this.
Out
of the twenty-one individuals eight had kept plants in their home. One kept
plants in their bedroom. One kept plants on their counter. Two kept plants in
their living room. Two kept plants in their kitchen. Two also kept plants on
their windows. The graph for these results would look like this:
The
individuals who had kept plants in their home all saw an improvement in air
quality, mood or health. Some saw improvements in more than one category. Three
saw an improvement in air quality. Seven saw an improvement in mood. Two saw an
improvement in health. The graph for these results would look like this:
The
results from the survey conclude that those who kept plants saw a general
improvement in a category varying from health, mood and air quality. However
mood was the most popular increase recorded through survey.
